SUMMARY (MANAGEMENT LEVEL)

This course is designed to impart knowledge and stimulate thinking around the reserving processes other than actuarial reviews. For any sale, purchase, commutation and portfolio transfer, actuarial models can determine price ranges. This course examines reserving elements for consideration in conjunction to actuarial reviews. As such, this course does not consider or determine actuarial models but instead focuses on those elements of claim reserves that should be considered in addition to actuarial pricing methods.

By the end of this workshop, delegates will be able to:

• understand the reserving process methodology

• be aware of the range of counter party considerations

• determine if there are portfolios that can be bought/sold quicker
